Today was exciting. Today saw the arrival of yet another rejection letter. Hooray! I thought they had all forgotten about me, but it looks as though all those excuses about backlogs and excessive delays in responding to submissions were true.
The rejection was from a magazine that decided they didn't want to publish my short story. That's okay. I was not sure whether to send it to them - they're a dedicated horror and sci-fi outfit and whilst my story is quite nasty I'm not sure it directly fits their remit. I may have a rethink and go back to them with something else.
